Responsible for warehousing operations, distribution operations, customer relations, quality, safety and security. Ensures effective and efficient support of the Logistics goals, objectives and KPI’s. Responsible for increasing inventory accuracy and control for all products, ensuring load integrity is not compromised. Ensures effective and efficient support of the Logistics goals and objectives. Assist in overall Logistics planning, budgeting, financial and human resource decisions to enable organization to reach Mission-driven goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and coordinate activities of associates in distribution processes in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal and external customer service. Understands Goodwill Industries goals and objectives while establishing work methods and procedures to accomplish them. Manage daily operations to maximize productivity and meet daily operational goals. Ensures that subordinate management personnel are given the tools necessary to meet expectations for which they are held accountable. Ensure productivity standards are met by communicating personal and team key performance indicators. Perform daily quality checks on all outgoing product to ensure donation values are maximized Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for warehouse associates. Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork to foster a positive working environment. Support the company's mission, goals and new initiatives. Recommend improvements to operational flows and reassign staff, as necessary. Identify critical distribution issues and report them to the appropriate business partners. Abide by the established dependability guidelines to maintain business productivity. Manage all aspects of performance and development for warehouse associates. Partners with leadership to ensure staff is held accountable for safety, productivity and quality. Conduct job observations and provide feedback through coaching and training. Provide information regarding associate performance for appropriate evaluation and action plan. Implement company and OSHA guidelines to create and maintain a safe working environment. Actively support and participate in all safety initiatives in the warehouse. Perform safety observations in conjunction with job observations to coach and counsel associates on proper safety procedures. Lead investigations for incidents and injuries, as required, and perform root cause analysis. Play an active role in the participation of all safety programs to act as a role model for all associates. Promote a create a Culture of Continuous Improvement in the warehouse. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Minimum of one (2) year training and/or mentoring experience in a warehouse or retail environment. Minimum of one (2) year supervisory or management experience. High School degree or equivalent preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to properly lift 45lbs throughout the work shift. Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period of time. Must be able to travel to various sites as needed. KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS & ABILITIES General PC Applications MS Office Applications Ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and written. Ability to think critically to understand multiple points-of-views when issues arise. Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds. Excellent in-person, phone, and electronic-based interpersonal skills. Proficiency with, and ability to conduct, intermediate tasks within Microsoft Office Suite applications, HR Information Systems and various cloud based office applications A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning. Strong analytical skills required to succeed. Strong people skills required to succeed with our Mission. Ability to scale an operation, without sacrificing efficiency and reliability, during periods of rapid growth. Knowledge and experience with adaptive supply chain and organization Knowledge and experience with design and implementation of s tandard operating procedures (SOPs) and training Knowledge and experience with Kaizen/LEAN Warehousing principles. Ability to develop and maintain training manuals for a variety of work functions. Knowledge and ability to conduct and train. Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds. Achieve and exceed goals within the assigned timeframe. Possess a professional demeanor, poise under pressure with strong attention to detail, and well-developed time management skills.
