TECHNICAL SUPPORT REP
Jameco Electronics is a worldwide distributor of electronic components. Serving small to large OEMS, Contract Manufacturers, Educational Institutions and Hobbyists. Our product line includes Power, Electromechanical, Cooling, Optoelectronics and Illumination, Electronic Design, Educational and much more. We are in a growth mode, and need individuals with Technical/Component experience or a less experienced person willing to learn our product line and grow with Jameco.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting our product line via Phones, Internet, and in Person.
Assist customers in designing in our products
Assisting in Product Marketing Projects
Creating product sales opportunities
Assisting in New Product Development for our Catalog and Website
Employing a positive and helpful attitude toward all customer service inquiries.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years in technical support of electronics products, preferably components
Problem-solving skills - an agile mind, electronics aptitude, open-mindedness, curiosity.
Solid understanding of electronic concepts and terminology as it relates to components.
Solid understanding of Printed Circuit Board components. Power Products and Electromechanical.
Strong aptitude in project/electronic kit building (i.e. Arduino/Beagle bone) preferred but not required.
Strong PC skills, for general computer aptitude using in-house applications, e-mail, and Internet search. Good Attitude and Patience for working in a fast-paced, frequently changing team-oriented environment.
