Building a more sustainable airline.
And we’re doing it differently than a lot of other companies. How? By not relying on traditional carbon offsets. Instead, we’re investing more in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) than any other airline. By adding electric planes to our future fleet and committing to invest in emerging tech that uses giant fans to remove carbon from the atmosphere. It’s sci fi, without the fi.
Diversifying the flight deck.
Through our United Aviate program, we’re diversifying the flight deck and our pilot pipeline to create opportunities for the most qualified and talented aspiring aviators in the world. We aim to train 5,000 new pilots by 2030, and the historic inaugural class at our first-of-its-kind flight school, United Aviate Academy, is 80% women and people of color.

Better planes are coming to better serve your needs. From Bluetooth technology to larger bins to fit everyone’s carry-on, we’re adding 500 new planes to our fleet – and hundreds more that will be completely upgraded and overhauled to feel like new – in the next few years.
