California Climate Action Corps

The California Climate Action Corps (CCAC) is an AmeriCorps service program that’s part of a California statewide initiative to address and mitigate the effects of climate change. CCAC matches Fellows with organizations to mobilize community members to take direct climate action through education, volunteer mobilization, and assessment focused on urban greening, wildfire resiliency, and organic waste diversion and edible food recovery. This is a climate-focused, workforce development program for emerging climate and environmental leaders, with 10-20% of your service hours dedicated to training and professional development. Fellows work directly with host organizations to implement projects to advance climate actions that engage community members, cultivate change, and leave a lasting impact.
