Job Title:     Mechanical Drafter (SolidWorks™ designer) Job Summary:     The Mechanical Drafter will work as part of the engineering team, helping to design and maintain battery products through their lifecycle. This entails the specification of mechanical component and assemblies, as well as the design of fixtures for assembly and test of new and existing products. Key Responsibilities: Create and modify models and drawings using SolidWorks™ and MS Office™ as required Assist with the creation and engineering/production release of drawings, models, manufacturing instructions and bill of materials, and integrate redlines Quality control drawings, driving compliance to format/standards and continuous improvement of their accuracy, completeness, clarity, and effectiveness Collaborate with our engineering team to brainstorm solutions for everyday design tasks and assist to perform NPI and first article inspections Under limited supervision, may contact customers and sales representatives to resolve technical and quality problems as well as provide technical support Minimum Job Requirements: AS/BS (Mechanical Engineering preferred) and at least 2 years of hands-on CAD experience, or equivalent; some electrical background a plus Proficiency with SolidWorks™ and MS Office™ Must have critical thinking ability, problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision making skills Ability to learn and share new skills and to apply them Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving Organization skills and attention to details Strong work ethic, with the ability to execute with minimal supervision Contact:   Vincent Lefebvre, Director of Engineering, When applying, please note that you saw the job posted on the NOVA Job Board.
