The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for daily activities of the warehouse including supervising shipping, receiving, and maintenance, handling inventory and staff scheduling. The Assistant Warehouse Manager directly reports to the Director of Transportation and Logistics. RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in opportunities for continued training and development Supervise the work of Material Handlers, Class C and Class A Drivers to include: planning, assigning and scheduling work; time and attendance, and; payroll management Ensure standards of productivity, safety and proper procedures of quality are followed within assigned area; report and document safely hazards, potentially hazardous conditions and unsafe practices and procedures Support training of new staff; may support performance feedback and hiring activities Maximize and ensure efficiency of warehouse and dock activities Coordinate pickup and delivery of product and supplies to Goodwill stores; coordinate and monitor pick-ups and deliveries of purchased product ensuring compliance with all program practices and procedures Enforce loss prevention procedures and policies Supervise all warehouse and dock functions to include: receiving donated goods; directing donors to proper location; issuing receipts; unloading/loading; pre-sorting and selecting merchandise to be sent to each store Supervise housekeeping duties Assist Warehouse Salvage operation manager as needed Perform other related duties as assigned   QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent work experience 1+ years of warehouse management/ logistics experience including experience in a supervisory capacity CPR/ First aid certifications preferred   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
