Inside Sales Representative

 

 

Title:   Inside Sales Representative              

Department:  Sales and Marketing                                    

Reports To:   Business Manager                                      

 

 

SUMMARY

 

Enhances current account sales.  Identifies prospective new customers.

Independently and cooperatively closes prospects.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identifies and qualifies prospective customers.

 

  • Explains products and benefits to customers.

 

  • Closes sales via showroom traffic and telephone.

 

  • Performs both inbound and outbound calls.

 

  • Maintains database of contacted prospective and current customers.

 

  • Conducts sales promotions for first time buyers.

 

  • Maintains efficient and accurate CIC scheduling practices.

 

  • Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, management, and external contacts.

 

  • Completes accurately and in a timely manner all reports as required by the Company.

 

  • Attends meetings and classes as required.

 

  • Performs all duties safely.

 

  • Performs all related duties as assigned.

 

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and ACT

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

None

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

 

High school diploma or equivalent degree required.  At least three (3) years of experience preferred.  Minimum two (2) years telephone sales experience.  Excellent communication, organizational, and mathematical skills.  Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheet and database.  Presentation software helpful.  Ability to be a team player. Good energy and make the customer hear you smile.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

 

The position is part/full time.  The employee must be “drug free”, in that he or she may not hold the position and use illegal and/or unprescribed drugs.  Good hearing and vision.  Sits for extended periods of time.  Some standing, walking, and climbing stairs.  Uses standard office equipment.  Extensive phone use.  Some lifting up to 25 lbs.

 

 

ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS

 

Works indoors in office environment.  May also work in off-site locations for industry shows. Weekend availability is a must in this position for shows/events and festival.

Standard office equipment including but not limited to computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, and calculator.
