Job Description

SRI International is looking for a talented individual to work as an Associate Contracts Officer in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters. This position is within the Contracts Strategic Services (CSS) team.

The Associate Contracts Officer is responsible for entering and maintaining records in SRI’s procurement system, processing invoices, obtaining Requests for Quotes, and supporting the Contracts and technical staffs on a daily basis.  Depending on experience and level of responsibilities, there may be subcontract closeout, and subrecipient monitoring activities assigned. The individual who fills this position will work with a diverse set of researchers and scientists as he/she creates, negotiates, and issues consulting agreements.  The successful candidate will also maintain contract and proposal files in accordance with SRI’s policies and procedures.

This position also requires interaction with the internal Legal team to ensure that SRI is structuring its consultant agreements in a way that minimizes risk to SRI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree desired; experience in lieu of degree considered
  • The Associate level requires up to one year of relevant/direct experience in administering Consulting Agreements and/or Subcontracts
  • S. Citizenship required
  • Data entry experience is required
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office suite of products (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize a steady and busy workload using sound judgment
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Must also have a high level of enthusiasm and energy, work well as a team member, and the ability to demonstrate flexibility and integrity in the workplace.
