The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a Parks Supervisor who under general direction of an assigned supervisor, organizes, assigns and reviews the work of a large crew or multiple crews engaged involving the performance of a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, repair and maintenance of park and open space facilities, structures and grounds.
Requires: Education: Graduation from high school or tested equivalent; AND college level coursework equivalent to three classes in Horticulture and one class in Management/Supervision. Experience: Five years of experience as a skilled worker involving the maintenance, construction and repair of landscaped areas and park equipment and facilities, with two years as a lead worker. Licenses/Certificates: Possession and continued maintenance of a valid class C California driver's license and a safe driving record. Possession of a State of California Qualified Applicator's Certificate for pesticide applications in the Categories of Landscape Maintenance or Right of Ways is required.
