Job Description

The Director of Facilities Operations is a leadership position providing oversight to the facilities and IT infrastructure supporting our office, clinic and domestic violence shelter locations as well as tenant occupied medical facilities on the campus. The position has overall responsibility for the condition and functionality of the facility managing day-to-day operations, renovations, maintenance, safety, compliance and environmental standards.

Required qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience managing operations and maintenance in a public building or very high traffic environment. Experience in the operational maintenance of a hospital or healthcare organization preferred
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage building operational services; develop, implement and evaluate a variety of building and operation systems and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus with a wide variety of people
  • Experience managing capital and expense budgets
  • Knowledge of regulations, procedures or technical reference materials relating to building maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical/plumbing/structural operating procedures, accident prevention rules, OSHA Regulations
  • Knowledge of emergency operations with ability to lead first response team after-hours and during emergencies
  • Related  education or training and certification such as FMP, CFM, BOMI, or similar
  • Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel to and manage the regional facilities and staff
