Job Description

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is looking for a Bi-lingual HR Corporate Trainer for our HQ located in San Jose.


  • Coordinate and deliver job-specific e-learning, instructor-led, and on-the-job training across the agency
  • Train new and continuing employees on standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure successful onboarding, continued development, and observation of protocol
  • Work closely with Human Resources and management to systematically identify, analyze, develop, and test/revise training solutions
  • Coordinate and manage instructor-led and virtual training sessions and calls as needed
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments and use these to determine educational strategies
  • Ensure any paperwork associated with employees’ training is accurate, complete, current, and retained
  • Conduct follow-up observations and discussions with employees and management to determine evidence of knowledge transfer in workplace behaviors
  • Support and encourage training participants in the use of high impact learning processes
  • Monitor and maintain enrollment and completion of training classes.
  • Request, obtain and retain participant feedback for all courses
  • Ensure all training is conducted according to the highest safety standards
  • Observe working conditions, equipment and employee behaviors to identify safety problems and develop relevant training solutions
  • Become certified to operate all machinery (e.g. balers, forklift, electric stacker) for which training will be provided
  • Track and manage training in GWSV’s LMS and HCM
  • Develop collateral training materials including outlines, job aides, work instructions, on the job training guides, and worksheets
  • Acquire CPR instructor certification within 3 months
  • Deliver training in English and/or Spanish according to the needs of the audience
  • Local travel to training locations required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Self starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Sense of urgency, initiative and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Safety-related experience desired


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years experience delivering instructor led trainings
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office and G-Suite
  • Experience with Learning Management System (ideally Cornerstone) preferred
  • Experience with E-learning authorizing tools (SCORM, Brain Shark)


  • Proficient in English and Spanish
