This position is a key member of the Human Resources team and will implement the overall talent acquisition strategy to attract, hire and retain highly qualified employees while growing a strong candidate pipeline. The Recruiter is responsible for identifying hiring needs, implementing effective strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent, and participating in screening and selection process.
This role is available as either a full-time or part-time role (minimum 30 hours per week). This is a hybrid position: remote with some in office time.

The ideal candidate has:
- Two or more years of work experience as a Recruiter (either an in -house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
- HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates highly desired
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structures, competency-based, etc.)
- Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone screening, reference check)
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems. ADP and Fresh Team preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential backgrounds
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Primary job duties include:
- Develop and update job descriptions, specifications, and employment advertisements
- Collaborate with department managers to proactively identify future hiring needs
- Prepare staffing plans with department heads and HR Partner
- Prepare recruitment materials and post job openings to appropriate sites and organizations
- Source and recruit candidates using databases, social media, referrals, academic institutions, community resources, cold outreach, creative job postings, outside staffing agencies etc.
- Review and screen candidates’ resume and application material for required job qualifications
- Conduct and document interviews
- Identify opportunities for improving the candidate/hiring experience
- Serve as a point of contact and build candidate relationships during the selection process
- Assist in the new employee onboard process as needed
