Digital Production and Editorial Coordinator
Knowable Magazine, an award-winning online publication dedicated to exploring science and research through a journalistic lens, is seeking a Full-Time Digital Production and Editorial Coordinator to publish and promote content, and to provide administrative and website project support for a small editorial team.
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to take charge of the magazine’s website, newsletter and social media production and to serve as the in-house virtual events technical producer for 9 to 10 events per year.
This is a great opportunity to help increase public understanding of science, and to work with a dedicated, thoughtful and quality-oriented editorial team while advancing your digital content production, social media and SEO skills.
You should have fluency in HTML, great attention to detail, enough tech know-how to translate editorial needs to both back-end and front-end developers, superb organizational skills, eagerness to learn, ability to coordinate, troubleshoot, problem-solve and communicate well with a geographically distributed team, the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and meet deadlines, a commitment to excellence, a sense of humor and a passion for Knowable’s mission to translate the fruits of scholarly knowledge for a general audience.
This position will report to the Knowable Editor-in-Chief, but will work closely with the Audience, Outreach and Strategy Manager. The coordinator will also engage in frequent interactions with the web development team in the information technology group.
This is a remote position, but candidates must be able to work West Coast hours (generally, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm Pacific). We will consider exceptional candidates for this role who reside in CA, CO, DC, HI, MA, NC, OH, OR, PA, NY, WA or WI.

The starting hourly rate for Colorado candidates only in this role will be $27.33 - $31.53. Actual compensation will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: level of experience, skills, and specific home office location.
Annual Reviews values the health and welfare of our staff members and their families.
