Job Description

How You’ll Contribute

  • Process development and ownership for multiple wet benches, microfabrication tools and their associated processes
  • Collaborate with and support fellow engineers with other microfabrication projects
  • Rigorous design of experiments with meticulous record keeping, working under design control
  • Develop and implement meaningful QC metrics from R&D to production line
  • Write and maintain production SOPs
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure successful process implementation and sustaining support
  • Actively participate in laboratory quality and EHS programs
  • Adhere to company policies and stays in compliance with all federal, state, and local agencies

 Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Education: Degree in one of the following fields or closely related: chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, materials engineering, physics
  • Experience: BS with 3+ years industry experience, MS 1+ year experience, or PhD new graduate
  • Must have wet bench process experience: new bench bring-up, process development, bath testing and upkeep - wet bench automation experience a plus
  • Experience with thermal oxidation highly desirable
  • General semiconductor/MEMS microfabrication processing experience with some or all of the following: spin coating, PVD, CVD, PECVD, ALD, photolithography, nanoimprint lithography, soft lithography, wet etch, dry etch, RCA clean, lift-off, plating
  • Strong background in metrology and surface characterization including some or all of the following highly desirable: optical microscopy, AFM, XPS, FTIR, SEM, zeta potential, fluorescence microscopy
  • Has outstanding time/operation management abilities
  • Image processing and data analysis skills with some or all of the following a plus: Python, FIJI, JMP, Matlab, Octave, R
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Is a high energy, results-oriented and collaborates effectively with other teams
  • Experience with ancillary wet bench facilities equipment a plus
  • Experience with GMP/ISO a plus
