Coast Personnel Services is seeking an Office Assistant for a well-established client in Santa Clara, CA. This is an entry-level position created to develop or enhance the skills necessary to promote career opportunities within the company. Someone in this position must be able to work alone or side by side with other employees whenever necessary. Has strong communication skills and operates with the company values, safety policy and quality of work.
Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Pay $18-$21 (this is entry level position with company growth)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Take direction from lead personal and able to work in a variety of different positions on different days
•Office assistant must be comfortable with proper wording and email etiquette
• May be sent on errands from time to time
•Responsible for filing, keeping all company records up to date and completing weekly time cards for all construction employees and biweekly time sheets for metals and technologies employees
• At times someone in this position will be asked to work on special projects
• Required to answer phones and back up to the Order Entry person when they are absent
An office assistant must be able to file, type, create word documents/excel spreadsheets and have basic knowledge of QuickBooks. They must be comfortable talking on the phone to customers and be able to speak clearly over the loudspeaker. Dressing in proper office attire on a daily basis, being responsible, and on time are all qualities looked for in an office assistant.
Mathematical Skills: Must have basic math skills and comprehension.
Licenses & Certificates: Must have a valid driver’s license on file with the office.
