We are looking for a human resources generalist to handle HR initiatives, policies, and processes for our privately held ecological consulting firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The new HR generalist would be a key member of our business management team which provides human resources, accounting, finance, business analysis, marketing, administration, geographic information science, health and safety, and IT support to the work of our company’s ecologists and landscape architect consultants. This position will report to our Senior HR Manager and Business Analyst. This position may be a hybrid of remote and in-person based out of our Los Gatos office. The anticipated pay range for this position is $74,500 - $87,000 annually. Actual compensation within the range will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
What you’ll do
Our Human Resources generalist will advocate for, care for, and support our employees. This position is responsible for independently carrying out and implementing company policies and programs - ensuring we continue to be fair and consistent in our practices, stay current with our policies, and compliant with HR regulations. You will lead the onboarding of new employees and the employee evaluation process; manage medical and other leaves; serve as the liaison with benefits providers and process benefit elections; maintain personnel records and aspects of our HRIS / ADP database; participate in payroll; coordinate recruiting, and more. The HR generalist will participate in regular business management meetings with senior practice leaders and make presentations in company all staff meetings.
