Machine Shop Manager
$25.24- 29.01 per hour. Generous benefits package.
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the machine shop that supports teaching and research of faculty members in the natural sciences. In addition, the manager will occasionally provide instruction to undergraduates in the area of design and construction of scientific equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate and maintain shop and machines used for construction, maintenance and repair of laboratory, lecture demonstration, and research equipment
Assist faculty and students with design of laboratory, lecture demonstration, and research equipment
Instruct students in basic design and construction principles
Establish and carry out safety and environmental health procedures for shop and other departmental spaces
