DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
The primary responsibility of a Learning in New Media Classrooms (LINC) Instructor is to teach a variety of college-level courses in areas related to Instructional Design and Technology, in accordance with established course outlines. The instructor will also play a critical role in overseeing the operation of the Krause Center for Innovation (KCI) makerspace, dual enrollment programs, and collaborative initiatives with different organizations.
In addition, an instructor must be able to:
• Maintain current knowledge in the discipline, including the use of new and emerging educational technology tools and trends.
• Manage dual enrollment programs and collaborative initiatives with local high schools and community partners, aligning them with the program's objectives.
• Research and develop new programs and plan the quarterly schedule of LINC classes.
• Participate in KCI internal and external events, conferences, and educational technology initiatives
Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attending department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, and performing other duties consistent with the role of an instructor. Instructors are encouraged to serve on district and college committees and participate in campus extra-curricular activities.
• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Master's in instructional design/technology or educational technology OR the equivalent.
• Significant K-12 teaching experience as well as significant teaching experience at a Community College or University.
• Expertise in current and emerging educational technologies such as artificial intelligence, immersive media, and adaptive learning.
• Experience in the development and implementation of innovative educational programs and courses.
• Experience in teaching in online, hybrid, and hi-flex educational settings and proficiency with the software and hardware technologies relevant to these settings.
• Experience in maker education.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with faculty, staff, students, and community organizations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively teach a diverse student population.
• Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development in instructional methodologies and technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects, responsibilities, and deadlines simultaneously,
• Evidence of adaptability and versatility in dynamic educational environments.
• Indoor, office environment.

HIRING RANGE: $71,934.90 - $133,543.60 annually plus benefits; actual placement is based on applicant's verified education and experience.
