RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide technical information to individuals who seek products and services provided by company.
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Sales Manager
Clear, friendly and professional speaking skills.
Clear, precise and professional writing skills.
Computer/telephone/FAX equipment literacy.
Organizational skills to accommodate multiple sales/service tasks.
Personable disposition when interacting with employees, visitors, and customers.
Interest in developing solid business relationships with customers.
Degree in any science application; Physics a definite plus
Adequate product knowledge of company’s catalog items to clearly convey ordering information as required.
Proficiency in high vacuum technology and applications enabling the troubleshooting of customer’s problems/needs
Honest and direct persuasion skills
Provide product ordering assistance to customers as required.
Enter sales orders/RMA’s into company computer system as required.
Maintain a satisfactory level of weekly orders entered.
Maintain a satisfactory level of weekly sales revenue.
Maintain a satisfactory level of weekly product quotations.
Submit logs of orders/revenue and quotes at the start of every week.
Assist fellow Customer Service Reps with technical questions as to product form, fit and function
Accept incoming telephone inquiries from customers requiring technical product knowledge.
Secure sufficient background information for complex calls and transfer to owner and/or general manager when own knowledge is limited
Assist Administrative personnel as required to secure payments for products/services as required.
Assist Receptionist/Generalist as required, e.g., answer and direct incoming telephone calls to company during breaks and absences.
Post surplus products items onto company’s EBAY store
Review product online manuals for accuracy
Increase product knowledge where needed.
